2011 Albany City Parks Rental Season Open

Albany parks include six regulation softball fields for rent as well as numerous smaller diamonds

(Albany, Oregon) - Albany city parks are now available to rent for parties, family gatherings, company picnics and other special events. Parks with shelters are available to rent from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. seven days a week. The season ends October 3, 2011, but some park facilities are available year-round by request.

At present, there are seven park shelters available to rent. Amenities and capacity vary by site and can include barbeque grills, picnic tables, stoves, sinks, and electricity. Albany also has two sound stages that may be reserved.

Reservations can be made over the phone with MasterCard or Visa by calling 541-917-7777, or in person at the Parks & Recreation Department offices in Albany City Hall, 333 Broadalbin Street SW.

The Albany Senior Center provides an indoor event venue. The Center is accessible to those with physical disabilities, includes a variety of room sizes and a kitchen. For Senior Center rental information, call 541-917-7760.

Swanson Park Action Center is scheduled to open on Saturday, June 18, 2011 and may also be rented by the hour. COOL! reservations fill quickly. Albany Community Pool (ACP) offers family and adult swims, exercise and lessons for all ages and abilities. ACP, 2150 SE 36th Ave, may be rented by the hour, either half of the pool or the full length. For ACP classes or rentals, visit www.cityofalbany.net/parks/facilities/acp.php or call 541-967-4521.
