Benny & Sid Presents Chapter 7 of the New Serialized Graphic Novel The Hummer

Make sure you park close to the building 'cause that's points extra and take cuts in line. It's the American way.

The Hummer #7
By Glen Bledsoe

(Your City, USA) - It's all about attitude. It's all about style. What's in your head and the quality of your heart is for sissies.

When you're on the road only one thing matters and that's who's in the lead.

It's a race out there no matter if you're only going to the grocery store for a two liter ounce bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper.

Make sure you park close to the building 'cause that's points extra and take cuts in line. It's the American way.

Don't make me have to show you what this country is all about.

The Truant Officer now available in ! comic format

then, right on que,Commander Cody and the lost planet airmen scream by like we're standing still in a sleek black '64 Continental with "Son, you gonna drive me to drinkin' if ya don't stop racin' that hot rod Lincoln" booming out of the dashboard Motorola. I nearly thought I was experincing a psycadelic flashback from my youth till I read the custom plate on the highly polished chrome aft bumper.,it said "4/20 Jack!" and it's state wasn'nt there, just a plate with a green colored leaf on a blue background. Then I knew I couldn't be hallucinating.,it was time for more root beer, I was exhausted.

We are tuned to the same station, Osotan. I'm glad you're enjoying the ride as much as I am.

And just then when you'd think "it doesn't get any better than this", David Lindsay and Jackson Browne come on the F.M. made in america stereo and does "Gonna buy me a Mercury"!, Man.,they heard us howling all the way from Yuma to LaJolla!! The Mariposa and San Diego county Sherriff's depts. is on full alert and we cruise on! You can visualise this can't you Glen? I mean I'm not certifiabley insane yet am I? All these memories locked up till I saw "the fixed eye" of the Hummer himself, that's when I realized the importance of..,ridin' in a automobile! Without it America would be doomed, stuck in the chocolate factories of Hershey,Pennsylvania or even a pizza shop in Brooklyn! Their lives couldn't be more hellish! Cruise on America! "Gonna buy me a Mercury" ought to be the national anthem! Show me the way to the licorice pistols!

Man, I wanna be ridin' shotgun when this comes down! Listening to Wolfman Jack on the way to the west coast,Mexico on one side and me on the other while "the fixed eye" figures out his next move., I'm drinkin' an ice cold bottle of IBC root beer and Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard are singin' Pancho and Lefty! It's almost a "cheeseburger in paradise" experience. Timothy Leary would call it damn near the "white Light"!
