(CORVALLIS) - Corvallis Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened early Monday afternoon at the Umpqua Bank at 415 NW 3rd Street. Corvallis Police Lieutenant Ron Noble says that around 12:45 PM Monday, a man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. Tellers say the man appeared to be in his 50's. He was described as 5'11" tall, 200 pounds, with gray hair, wearing a navy blue jacket over a white shirt, blue baseball cap, and carrying a black briefcase. No weapon was displayed. Noble says the suspect left on foot headed east from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Noble encourages anyone with information about this incident to call the Corvallis police Department as (541) 766-6924.
