A Voice of Sanity About Childhood Vaccines from a Respected Nephrologist

It is ironic, but telling, to note that a few years ago there was a $10,000 award offered to any physician who would be willing to swallow the contents of what they freely inject into their unsuspecting patients.

Childhood vaccine

(DULUTH, MN) - Gary G. Kohls MD for Salem-News.com

To my medical colleagues, BigPharma sceptics and others truly concerned with public health issues and the accelerating sickening of America: In the following link,Dr. Suzanne Humphries talks about vaccines in a 10 minute videointerview justifiably, with science backing her up (and directly refuting what those corporate entities who have immense wealth and power), claiming that there has never been a safe vaccine. This video needs to be viewed by all health reporters to “immunize” them against the powerful, corporate-controlled profit-motivated factions (including the media and our indoctrinated physicians and nurses) that are pushing more and more unsafe and highly toxic vaccines upon unsuspecting parents and vulnerable infants, who then go on to develop hyperimmune/autoimmune disorders such as our escalating incidence of chronic asthma, rheumatoid disorders, etc (for an important list of other vaccine injuries that have been documented, see below). Gary

Also check out the University of Pittsburg study that showed that monkeys who received the recommended vaccine schedule from the 1990s CDC-approved schedule got autism while the control group who did not receive vaccines did not acquire autism: http://vaccineliberationarmy.com/category/rooms/doctors-speak-out/

Then study the several videos, including one feature film, about the Wakefield case, available at: http://vaccineliberationarmy.com/category/dr-andrew-wakefield-video-talks/.

For those who have only heard the smear campaign false charges in the US about Wakefield: he was the victim of a highly orchestrated smear campaign in England, funded by vaccine-maker Glaxo, and Rupert Murdoch’s media empire [Rupert’s son James Murdoch sits on the board of Glaxo; and a Murdoch-funded pseudojournalist named Brian Deer did much of the dirty work]). The smear campaign was supported by Britain’s threatened medical establishment and its two previously “prestigious” medical journals [Lancet and British Medical Journal] to discredit Wakefield and his well-done study of 12 children who were diagnosed with regressive autism after their MMR shots (that contains 3 varieties of live viruses) and whose bowels became infected with the measles virus from the vaccine, causing abdominal pains and chronic diarrhea. Biopsies taken by Wakefield and his colleagues proved vaccine-related measles virus infections in the intestinal lymphatic tissue, findings that have been replicated in a number of other studies world-wide (refuting the medical establishment’s claims of fraud).

One of those studies came out of Wake Forest University:

" … a team from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina are examining 275 children with regressive autism and bowel disease - and of the 82 tested so far, 70 prove positive for the measles virus … the team's leader, Dr Stephen Walker, said:

'Of the handful of results we have in so far, all are vaccine strain and none are wild measles.

This research proves that in the gastrointestinal tract of a number of children who have been diagnosed with regressive autism, there is evidence of measles virus. What it means is that the study done earlier by Dr Wakefield and published in 1998 is correct.

That study didn't draw any conclusions about specifically what it means to find measles virus in the gut, but the implication is it may be coming from the MMR vaccine. If that's the case, and this live virus is residing in the gastrointestinal tract of some children, and then they have GI inflammation and other problems, it may be related to the MMR."

The lead researcher, Stephen J. Walker, Ph.D., was also quick to state however, that this does not necessarily mean the MMR vaccine causes autism. Still, his research notes the same connection that Wakefield's team did, which is that many autistic children have chronic bowel inflammation, and have the vaccine strain of the measles virus in their intestines.

Says Dr. Wakefield of his original 1998 findings:

"… it's been replicated in Canada, in the U.S., in Venezuela, in Italy… [but] they never get mentioned. All you ever hear is that no one else has ever been able to replicate the findings. I'm afraid that is false."

See a recent videointerview of Wakefield at http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/01/24/new-evidence-refutes-fraud-findings-in-dr-wakefield-case.aspx. and make up your own mind.

The threat to the vaccine industry (from the connection between regressive autism and inflammatory bowel disease following live virus vaccination) was perceived to be so great that various corporate entities orchestrated the unheard of refutation and retraction of the 1998 Lancet study and the revocation of the medical licenses of Wakefield (and one other of the dozen authors of the study, who was, by the way, later exonerated of the charges and then compensated for the unjust charges against him). At any rate, the US corporate media and medical establishment have joined in the smearing of Wakefield (who now lives in the US after writing a book about the affair that was appropriately titled “Callous Disregard”). And the reason for the intense campaign to discredit Wakefield and his very valid research is clear: because any doubts about the “safety” of the vaccines in the minds of the public that are so profitable (for the powerful and obscenely wealthy multinational vaccine/drug makers, the CDC [which is a major vaccine pusher in America], the American Academy of Pediatrics, the AAFP and the AMA, none of whom will ever be able to bring themselves to admit their wrong-doing that has damaged tens of thousands of vaccine-injured children who now have to endure chronic illnesses like autism spectrum disorders, chronic asthma, Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid disorders and other autoimmune disorders that are dramatically increasing in incidence – co-incidentally with [or because of] the massive increase of vaccinations in America – see list below).

For much more that American health writers absolutely need to read to be doing valid journalism, please click on – and study – some of the 80+ websites (listed at: http://www.vaclib.org/links/Vaccine-Awareness-Websites.htm) on the dangers of vaccines. Some of the best ones include: http://vaccineliberationarmy.com, www.vran.org, www.vaclib.org, www.vacinfo.org, www.vactruth.com, www.nvic.org, www.mercola.org, www.safeminds.org, www.ageofautism.org.

And here is a partial list of some of the vaccine injuries that have been documented in the literature:

Deafness, asthma, diarrhoea, inconsolable screaming, encephalitis, convulsions and seizures, blindness, behaviour problems, autism, anaphylactic shock, neurological disabilities, immune malfunction, arthritis, epilepsy, brain damage, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, polio, diabetes mellitus, chronic fatigue, paralysis, negative change in the genetic structure of humans, Alzheimer, meningitis, and Death.

And here are just some of the ingredients used to make a vaccine:

Ethylene glycol:  antifreeze
Phenol:  also known as carbolic acid and used as a disinfectant, dye
Formaldehyde:  a known cancer causing agent (carcinogenic)
Aluminium:  is associated with alzheimers disease and seizures also cancer producing in laboratory mice (it is used as an additive to promote antibody response)
Thimerosal:  can result in brain injury and autoimmune disease (used as a mercury disinfectant/preservative)
Neomycin:  Streptomycin (used as antibiotic) have caused allergic reactions in some people

It is ironic, but telling, to note that a few years ago there was a $10,000 award offered to any physician who would (after being made fully aware of the above ingredients of vaccines) be willing to swallow the contents of what they freely inject into their unsuspecting patients. There were no takers. Gary G. Kohls, MD

You're kidding, right? September 13, 2014 1:04 am (Pacific time)

There was nothing sane about that article, and it certainly was not written by a respected nephrologist.

Susan September 11, 2014 7:17 am (Pacific time)

I agree Dorit Reiss should take the $10K and swallow the brew....

David Foster September 5, 2014 9:12 pm (Pacific time)

The Dorit Reiss Pardy is pure genius, very nicely done and you know your Dorit well. Dorit is a little sloppy with The Google when discussing DDT and the 1916 New York polio epidemic. They were just starting to produce other toxic chemicals in that region in 1915...here Dorit learn a little history: http://www.vaclib.org/sites/harpub/pol_all.htm This is a great article with lots of useful information. It is rare to find someone in medicine who is this familiar with vaccine safety issues, and with Wakefield's research and subsequent persecution.

Patricia September 5, 2014 8:34 pm (Pacific time)

This article fail to mention the increase of pediatric cancers. The use of aborted fetal tissue to make the vaccines is not mention either. Is it true that vaccines also contain monkey cells? No wonder so many children are suffering and dying with multiple cancerous tumors.

Mandy April 17, 2014 4:52 pm (Pacific time)

Yes I have seen this Dorit Reiss on several blog posts!!! A pharma troll big time!!

Paul April 17, 2014 1:08 pm (Pacific time)

The question being asked in the video is 'what promotes health?'. As there is a poor evidence base for many medicines and vaccines - and significant evidence that many are harmful - the 'scientific' approach is to do all that is possible to support a child's (or anyone's) immune system, not do those things which might compromise it and only turn to medicine (e.g. antibiotics) in an emergency situation. The misplaced assumption, inherent in many comments from vaccine enthusiasts, is that they have an efficient and safe way of dealing with infectious disease. This assumption and the need to protect it in the face of evidence to the contrary leads to their inability to understand how anyone could disagree with them (without being a 'loony'). When our belief system is questioned most of us get nasty rather than looking further. We know about Rotavirus, Vioxx, the cover up of Merck's MMR, the inadequacy of Tamiflu, SV40, and many other medical catastrophes and frauds. This catalogue, and the non-evidence based nature of the majority of other interventions, could lead some people to a genuine question about the infallibility of what they are told by 'official medicine'. Usually, though, it does not.

I would have to conclude that whoever wrote this tosh has some kind of psychiatric disorder.

Parent April 15, 2014 7:54 am (Pacific time)

Adverse reactions happen to more than just 1% of who receive vaccines, less than 10% of those numerous reactions are even reported, and they only count immediate reactions, not the long term affects of multiple vaccinations. More importantly, the so-called 1% of reactions that the CDC likes to claim is of no comfort to you when its YOUR child that has a reaction and long term affects from these reportedly "safe" vaccines. I'm not ok with my children being indispensable when vaccines fail them. Studies done in Germany (because they won't do them in the U.S.) have proven Unvaccinated are much healthier than the vaccinated. The vaccinated are the ones getting the whooping cough and measles and spread it to unvaccinated individual's.

"phenol has a lot of other uses, and in fact it’s present in a lot of foods and drinks in measurable amounts. It’s often responsible for the taste of a number of foods and drinks. For example, there are phenol and phenolic compounds in wine, as well as foods such as tomatoes, chocolate, red grapes, milk, cheese, apples, and bananas (which also–gasp!–contain a lot of KCl)." (Science-based Medicine) It's an old trick of the antivaccine crowd, using scary implications to make vaccine ingredients sound dangerous. The fact is, phenol occurs naturally in many common foods. It's part of a natural diet, which is part of what antivaxxers often claim saved us diseases (so no need for vaccines, they say). Ethylene glycol is not used in any vaccine, but it's commonly confused (intentionally or not, I'd hate to say) with 2-phenoxyethanol, but since it sounds so much worse to claim that vaccines have antifreeze in them, that's what they tell us. The question is, if they're honestly confusing the two, they don't know what they claim to know, so why would anyone believe what they say? On the other hand, if they're using the scary, but incorrect, chemical name to dishonestly make vaccines sound dangerous, why would anyone believe what they say? In other words, are they lying or uninformed? Formaldehyde: again, a naturally occurring substance in the human body, a part of human metabolism, in much larger amounts than is in vaccines. Your body can't tell the difference, so what is there to worry about? And given that, why are they trying to hard to make it sound dangerous and scary? Is it because they don't understand what they're seeing, or is it because they don't really care about accuracy as long as they can use it to make their point? I really don't see any other possibility.

Chris HIckie, MD, PhD April 14, 2014 4:43 pm (Pacific time)

Oh, yeah- Gary Kohls "RESPECTED" nephrologist. Sure. Did you put that ever so immodest adjective in their yourself, with the implication that other nephrologists aren't respected. Are you even board-certified to be a nephrologist--your listing in the Minnesota medical board web site doesn't say you are and I'd like to think you'd list it--being "RESPECTED"-- to show how "RESPECTED" you are. Instead I see you have emeritus status which means you're one of those old-time physicians who probably hasn't had to do anything to keep his medical license other than have a pulse and breathe. Please, go away, you anti-vax loon who is a pathetic excuse for a doctor.

no vax April 14, 2014 12:03 pm (Pacific time)

Wow, "Anonymous". That sounded like a page out of the propaganda booklet! Ingestion is actually safer than injection because the body has defenses in the intestinal tract that don't come into play when toxins are directly injected. Population explosion couldn't possibly be due to modern farming techniques, clean water, and better nutrition eh? The mini outbreaks of measles are occurring mostly in vaccinated children. These diseases which you make out to be so deadly are actually common childhood maladies and in this day and time can be treated easily (with natural means - oh no...no money for big pharma). I tell you what, you start the vaccine schedule that they have children on. Make sure you ramp up the dosage to make it equal to what a tiny baby would receive. Get back to us on that, 'kay?

Anonymous April 13, 2014 6:56 pm (Pacific time)

Huge difference between ingestion and injection and they know it. Ask the same Dr's if they would take 10k to inject it. The answers might be different. It is true that there is no such thing as a safe vaccine. They is a small chance for adverse side effects and it happens in less than 1% of patients. The risk does include mental problems and death. The risk of one of these diseases causing the same problems without a vaccine is much more likely. The population explosion of the last century is due largely to vaccines. A few people in the short term can get away with not having them because most of the public is vaccinated, lowering the chance of an outbreak. However as more and more people ignore the risk, the chances of outbreaks increase. In fact mini outbreaks of measles and other diseases are on the increase do to this. It is simple math really, not getting vaccinated is far riskier than getting them.

ChoiceMama April 13, 2014 3:30 pm (Pacific time)

Hey Dorit. Why don't you take the 10 grand for swallowing the vaccines? Easy money, right? Since they are perfectly safe...

Cookiepress April 13, 2014 2:14 pm (Pacific time)

Is Dorit Reiss a real person? I can't believe any one person could come up with the rebuttals to comments as quickly as she does. I have seen her comments in many of these types of articles

Anon. April 13, 2014 12:45 pm (Pacific time)

Oh here we go again! The Dorit Reiss everyone! You are slime.

As a paid consultant to the pharmaceutical industry / AKA a pharma whore. For sale,to the highest bidder.

Dorit Reiss Parody April 12, 2014 4:24 pm (Pacific time)

In my bashing of Dr. Humphries, Did I forget to mention that scienceblogs.com is funded by the pharmaceutical industry? Oops!

Dorit Reiss Parody April 12, 2014 4:22 pm (Pacific time)

As a paid consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, I have access to all sorts of statistics and studies funded by the pharmaceutical industry, and they all confirm that vaccines are awesome, and everyone should have as many of them as possible! Anyone who disagrees with me is anti science!

Anonymous April 12, 2014 4:11 pm (Pacific time)

Dorit Reiss is not only a hired hand for the industry, she also has automated replies from the industry using her name. This is not someone just commenting, it is pharma intentionally trying to quell the truth amongst the populous.

Dorit Reiss April 12, 2014 11:06 am (Pacific time)

Here are some links about Dr. Humphries: http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2011/02/16/dr-suzanne-humphries-and-the-internation/ http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2011/12/19/quoth-dr-suzanne-humphries-vaccines-are/ http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/suzanne-humphries-bad-advice-on-the-polio-vaccine/

Dorit Reiss April 12, 2014 11:05 am (Pacific time)

Dr. Suzanne Humphries may have started as a respected medical doctor, but at this point she has turned her back on evidence based medicine and is making unsupported, inaccurate claims. As her website shows, she now believes in homeopathy, which has no basis in science. She has previously recommended vitamin C as a treatment and preventive of polio, with no evidence to back her claims, and in spite of the fact that polio can kill - and she argue against vaccinating for polio, although, again, polio can paralyze and kill. She promotes incorrect claims like the claim that polio problems were caused by DDT. A quick glance at history shows that is simply untrue. For example, the huge New York City epidemic was in 1916, before DDT was in widespread use. In short, Suzanne Humphries is not a good source of vaccine related information.
