The reality is that Israel is the only state in the middle east where Arabs have basic freedoms. We all hope that the Arab world will bear out the early promise of the Tunisian revolution, but until the story plays out, we won't know. In the meantime, rather than savaging the middle east's sole (60+ year old) democracy, perhaps you should be protesting against a Syrian regime that is gunning down its own people in the squares and arresting schoolchildren, or the Libyan regime that is slaughtering its people wholesale, or the Yemeni regime, or the Egyptian military, rather than continuing your mindless monofocus on Israel. Take off the anti-Semitic blinders. You'll find it easier to see the real world.
