Museum by Moonlight Seuss Edition- A Sneak Preview of ''The Art of Dr. Seuss'' Exhibit

Celebrating the life and art of Theodor Seuss Geisel, "The Art of Dr. Seuss" exhibit chronicles his life and career with a focus on the common artistic links throughout his nearly 70 years of creativity.

(PORTLAND) - Join the World Forestry Center Discovery Museum for a sneak preview of "The Art of Dr. Seuss" exhibit before it opens to the public at Museum by Moonlight on Thursday, May 22. This rare glimpse into the arti stic life of Theodor Seuss Geisel features rare and never-before-seen works from the 1920's to 1990's.

The first 150 Museum by Moonlight attendees will receive a free exhibition catalog and all attendees will be entered to win a framed limited edition print by Dr. Seuss from the Shaffer Fine Art Gallery. Tickets include museum admission, two drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres.

Celebrating the life and art of Theodor Seuss Geisel, "The Art of Dr. Seuss" exhibit chronicles his life and career with a focus on the common artistic links throughout his nearly 70 years of creativity. See Seuss's classic illustration art from The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Yertle the Turtle, and The Lorax, as well as early magazine covers, advertising pieces, war commentary, his whimsical unorthodox taxidermy, and an amazing assortment of larger-than-life bronze sculptures!

The World Forestry Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization located in Portland's beautiful Washington Park at 4033 SW Canyon Rd. The Discovery Museum is dedicated to bringing exhibits of art, history and culture from around the world to its Special Exhibits Gallery. The museum is five minutes from downtown Portland, just off Highway 26. The Center is also accessible by MAX light rail line. WFC visitors are encouraged to ride MAX or take TriMet bus #63.
